~ About 'Tan  Bryn' ~

‘Tan Bryn’ which translates as ‘Until a hill’,  is a name that reflects its position nestled into the hillside.  It has been fully refurbished and is now available as a self-catering holiday rental.
Offering something a little bit different this quirky self-contained cottage has excellent parking and is accessed from the driveway via a private gate and pathway.

It is particularly suitable for those of us who enjoy privacy but appreciate that if a little help is needed, for example with the wifi or tv, or if a lightbulb fails, we, Sally and Charles, are immediately on hand; we really do want you to enjoy your holiday and come back.
On arrival you will likely be met by Myrtle, our Parson's Jack Russell, or Bluebell, our black cat, whilst the ducks, Quessant miniature sheep, donkeys and ponies just look at you with curiosity.

Accommodation:
Tan Bryn comprises a living room with a kitchen area, a bedroom with a Victorian double bed and authentic vintage Welsh blanket, and a modern shower room.

The sofa also converts into a small double bed, ideally suited to a single adult or child.
Sofa Bed
In addition to the sofa bed with another vintage Welsh blanket, there is a table with two chairs, and a wood -burning stove (extra logs available on request).
Also included is a high speed internet connection, a smart TV, ‘Alexa’,  and a bluetooth audio system.

Cellnet signals are not very good here on Anglesey but with 'wi-fi calling enabled on your mobile phone you should have no problems talking to your friends.

There are pictures, including this work by a local artist, on the walls, all adding to the ‘Escape2Anglesey’ experience.
Complimentary slippers and a welcome hamper, that  includes fresh eggs from our very free ranging chickens, are provided.  Further eggs are available daily and home baked bread  or scones to order.

Seasonal flowers are also included in all rooms.

     - there is also asmall freezer in the shed.

An electric kettle, toaster, pots & pans, kitchen utensils, plates and cutlery are also provided.  For those that love fresh coffee there is also a Bialetti Moka induction hob coffee maker provided so be sure and bring your favourite coffee with you.

Off-road parking is provided on the driveway.

Benllech, just over two miles away, has three supermarkets, a post office, a chemist, two cash points, a filling station, numerous eating establishments, pubs, and a large sandy beach.

Llangefni, the local town is just under seven miles away and in addition to its market, shops and pubs it has, at least for now, at least, two banks!

If you want to make a booking, just go to our ‘Availability’  page and take it from there, we would love to hear from you.

Finally, a few words of caution: for the very tall, this is an old Anglesey cottage with limited headroom in some places; no smoking is allowed inside the property; and, unfortunately, it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are fitted and for peace of mind there is an emergency exit window in the shower room.  The window opens directly into the garden at ground floor level.

We are very dog friendly at Erw Newydd, a maximum of two dogs (or other animals within reason) are more than welcome at Tan Bryn, provided that they are well behaved and considerate towards our animals.  Of course you don’t have to bring a pet, you are more than welcome to share ours.

The garden has gated entries and exits and is dog safe, being fenced allround so you can relax and enjoy your holiday.

Just outside the door to the cottage is a small table with chairs so on warm balmy evening you can enjoy a glass of wine with your dog at your feet.
